During a recent edition of his “Keepin’ It 100” podcast, Konnan critiqued AEW for using the 1982 hit song, “I’m So Excited,” by The Pointer Sisters, as the new theme for Dynamite this year.

Konnan believes that the song is not an effective choice for Dynamite.

Konnan said, “I don’t think that’s the song that should be [playing]. That’s like a song if you’re in a club and you’re celebrating.” Konnan also critiqued the new opening intro video for Dynamite. He continued, “And here’s the other thing — bro, they showed in that opening video Shaq, like he’s part of the roster. And they showed Snoop [Dogg], too, and they showed the Costco Guys. I’m like, ‘What?’”

AEW broadcaster Tony Schiavone was absent from last week’s episode of Dynamite due to a family matter. Ian Riccaboni filled in for Schiavone instead.

During a recent edition of his “What Happened When” podcast, Schiavone explained that he couldn’t attend Dynamite as his wife Lois was undergoing hip replacement surgery.

Schiavone noted that his wife underwent her surgery last Tuesday and was discharged on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, The Costco Guys (Big Boom! AJ and Big Justice) released a new music video, “Breaking the BOOM Meter!” that you can watch below:

And finally, the ticket pre-sale for AEW Dynamite on March 12 in Fresno, California begins tomorrow (January 16). The show will be held at the Save Mart Center. Tickets can be purchased on Ticketmaster with the pre-sale code INS8AEW.
