Konosuke Takeshita is the new AEW International Champion after defeating both the current champion Will Ospreay and fellow challenger Ricochet in a three-way match for the title at AEW WrestleDream 2024.
This win didn’t come by in clean fashion by any means, as expected, but with a betrayal from Ospreay’s close friend Kyle Fletcher. Dressed in a hoodie to mask his identity at first, Fletcher attacked Ospreay from behind to stop him from taking out Don Callis.
Takeshita scored the pin with Callis and Fletcher in the ring, and Fletcher then laid out Will Ospreay with a Tiger Driver to end the segment.
