During a recent appearance on “The Sick” podcast, Kris Statlander revealed that one of her notable matches was with John Silver, which helped her gain recognition.
Statlander said, “If I had a favorite match, I’d probably say the street fight at All Out that I did with Willow. On the indies, it pains me to give him credit, but John Silver was my breakout match and I have to give him the credit because that match with him is what helped me take off. He’s such a pain in the butt that it pains me. It physically hurts me every time I give him the credit for that.”
During a recent appearance on the “Youngstown Studio” podcast, Orange Cassidy stated that the AEW World Title was not something he aimed to pursue previously.
Cassidy said, “AEW World Champion, to me, represents professional wrestling, and I feel that it represents what professional wrestling should be, can be, is, and to wear that championship, it means that you are the best wrestler in the world. So it’s something I never thought I would try to attain. I wrestled for it one other time, it was right after the pandemic, it was Double or Nothing [2021], and I wrestled against Kenny Omega and PAC in a triple threat, and I pretty much had the match won, but Don Callis ruined that for me, like he does everything else in my life, and I never saw myself in that position. I think I just didn’t want it, I don’t know.”
