During a recent appearance on the “Battleground Podcast,” former ROH World Champion Mark Briscoe lavished praise on Athena for becoming the longest-reigning champion in ROH history. He said,
“I just want to take this time to put over one of, if not the best professional wrestler in the world, top five in my book, anyway, and that is Athena. I mean, the way that she has carried this Ring of Honor Women’s Title and, I mean, just whenever you know the decision is made to get her on AEW, she’s going to take over, man. She’s just so complete and so good as a performer and as a wrestler.”
Former TNT Champion Powerhouse Hobbs took to Twitter on Wednesday to share a GIF on social media. The GIF showed him together with his former Team Taz stablemates, Ricky Starks and HOOK. Starks hasn’t been seen on AEW television since March 2024.
