During a rceent appearance on the “Busted Open Radio” podcast, Mark Henry shared his thoughts on the promo segment between Jeff Jarrett and MJF during this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite: Maximum Carnage.
MJF called out Jarrett for not participating in the Casino Gauntlet match and making jabs at his previous struggles with alcohol and his wife, Karen Jarrett, while Jarrett responded with his own insults aimed at MJF.
Ultimately, MJF brought up Owen Hart, which prompted Jarrett to attack MJF.
You can check out some highlights from the podcast below:
On the segment turning physical at the Owen Hart mention: “I knew he was gonna get his a*s kicked when he mentioned Owen [Hart]. There are things you just don’t talk about. You don’t talk about people’s kids, their momma, their best friend, their dog, their cat, you leave their personal loves alone unless you want a fist to the mouth.”
On Jarrett’s verbal shots at MJF in the segment: “I thought it was good for Jeff to point out MJF being an ‘also-ran.’ He went there. I don’t see it all the way being true but storyline-wise, if they don’t start MJF back up, he’s gonna be like everybody else.”
On MJF losing a bit of his aura since he lost the World Title: “Roman Reigns is still Roman Reigns, MJF is not. And it’s not MJF’s fault. The reason that that segment was successful was because of MJF and because of Jeff Jarrett.”
