Bryan Danielson has made it clear that his days as a full-time wrestler are coming to an end, and Matt Hardy has an idea as to who should retire the American Dragon.
Danielson shared last year that he was embarking on his final year as a full-time talent in order to fulfill a promise made to his family.
On a recent edition of his “The Extreme Life Of Matt Hardy” podcast, Matt Hady gave an idea as to who should finish off Danielson. He said,
“I think Hangman [Page] is going to be great as a heel. Obviously he’s been so vicious. He’s been such a d*******, just a really a malicious, terrible individual. I would love to see that happen, if he was the guy that actually retired Danielson, take the title from him, whatever, and you could build back to the Swerve thing and I think there would be automatic equity in it already if they did that.”
At AEW All Out 2024, Page defeated Swerve Strickland in a Lights Out Steel Cage match that headlined the Hoffman Estates pay-per-view event.
The show also saw Danielson retain the AEW World Championship against Jack Perry. He was attacked by Jon Moxley after the match.
