During the latest edition of her Mone Mag Newsletter, AEW TBS Champion Mercedes Mone lavished praise on reigning ROH Women’s World Champion Athena and expressed her desire to face off against her in the future. She said,
“I’m so proud of Athena! She is one of the best in the world she’s definitely a champion I look forward to facing one day.”
During a recent appearance on the “Barstool Rasslin” podcast, AEW wrestler Orange Cassidy revealed his picks for the best wrestlers in AEW.

On Bryan Danielson: “You can’t say Bryan Danielson because that’s like, ‘Yeah we know.’ He shouldn’t be put in that because we all know he is, and he’s holding the championship.”
On Kenny Omega: “It doesn’t matter who he is in the ring with, it doesn’t matter what the situation is, he will … he does a phenomenal job of getting the people going, and that’s what you want. He hasn’t wrestled in a while, but Kenny Omega obviously is.”
