During a recent interview with SVG, AEW’s EVP of Global Production, Mike Mansury, stated that the company will adopt a more “sports-style presentation” starting next year.

You can check out some highlights from the interview below:

On the upgrades: “We want to create a nice split between the live event and TV show, just to make that experience for those in the house feel a bit more special. The idea was getting more IP-based with everything that we are doing. How can we get AEW to be more towards the cutting edge? That’s always the challenge with our line of work. We’re not quite sport; we’re not quite entertainment. We’re a lovely hybrid. How do we take our form of content and intertwine technology into it that leaves us at the cutting edge and allows us to be trendsetters as opposed to followers?”

On the in-arena experience plans: “Starting in 2025, you’ll see more of a sports-style presentation in-arena in terms of being able to entertain the audience when there isn’t in-ring content or taped content happening as part of the television broadcast. We want to create a nice split between the live event and TV show, just to make that experience for those in the house feel a bit more special.”

In the latest edition of her “Mone Mag” newsletter, Mercedes Mone shared her thoughts on Private Party winning the AEW Tag Team Championships from The Young Bucks during last week’s episode of Dynamite.

Mone said, Moné Memory: Private Party & Amazing Red: Being reunited with the Boys in Private Party last week was so great. While there is nothing currently in the works as far as a faction or collaboration, I have been watching those boys come up since they were young fans training with Amazing Red at the House of Glory Wrestling School. I first met them back in 2015 when they were in their late teens. I remember about five years ago when Isaiah and Quen came up to ask me for my advice. They were curious about what it would be like and how to go about signing up with a big Promotion company. When they told me they signed with AEW, I was so proud! I just felt like a proud sister. Seeing them win the AEW tag team titles five years later has been amazing! Again, I feel like their little big sister and am really proud of them. All of the wrestlers backstage are so happy for them. They worked so hard for a long time to get where they are now. It’s great to stand by and support them as a proud sister.”
