On last week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, Mina Shirakawa unsuccessfully challenged Mariah May for the AEW Women’s World Championship.
During a recent interview with Denise Salcedo, Shirakawa reflected on the match. She said,
“Main event for AEW Dynamite, I had the pressure for the main event because this was live and many girls want to be the main event of a show. So, I had many pressure, stress, but I did it. I was sad because I lost but the more sad thing was being betrayed by Mariah May because me and Mariah made a unit in Japan. We had strong bond between us, I never imagined the bond was broken so I’m so sad but I decided, opponent, opposite side, so I have to beat her up in the future.”
Will Ospreay has two big upcoming matches in the AEW Continental Classic.
Ospreay, who remains undefeated in the tournament, took to Twitter today to hype his matches with Darby Allin and Ricochet this week. He wrote,
“Gonna be a rough week of fighting to make the final of the C2.
6 points in the bank, another 9 points to gain.
This week for @AEW
12/18 #AEWDynamite in Washington D.C
Vs Darby Allin
12/21 #AEWCollision in New York
Vs Ricochet”
Ricochet retweeted the post, writing, “Love you, Bruv. But you’re not getting 3 off my back. See you in New York.”

Gentlemen’s agreement.
If there is one minute before the time elapses. You & me stand in the middle of the ring and throw bombs till one of us drops. Holloway style.
Stand & Bang.
I ain’t drawing with you again. #AEWCollision https://t.co/d2w88zOjSd
