Mina Shirakawa has been dreaming of facing Mercedes Mone for a long time and now the pair are finally set to do battle very soon.
The pair will face off at Wrestle Dynasty on January 5, with both Mone’s AEW TBS title and Mina’s RevPro British Women’s Championship on the line.
Speaking with Proresu-TODAY (translation via DeepL), Shirakawa explained what this match means for her. She said,
“My match with Mercedes Mone is something I have dreamed about for a long time. I met her as a friend when I was in my previous organization… My current goal is to finally win in front of all the Japanese fans at a big venue like the Tokyo Dome.”
Mone has held the TBS Championship since Double or Nothing in May, which marked the ex-Superstar’s first match for AEW.
Shirakawa is the seventh woman to hold the RevPro Women’s title, a championship she has held since August 2024.
