The Wrestling Observer Newsletter has shared an update on the Lucha Bros’ and Mistico’s participation in the upcoming AEW x NJPW 2024 Forbidden Door pay-per-view event.
Penta El Zero Miedo and Rey Fenix have been associated with AAA in the past, while Mistico is affiliated with CMLL.
It was recently reported that CMLL has allowed its talent to participate in the same pay-per-view event as the Lucha Bros.
This decision marks a significant shift as CMLL has historically restricted its talent from appearing alongside other Mexican wrestlers. Several factors contributed to this change.
Notably, Fenix has not competed with AAA in over a year. Penta, who has been active in AAA this year, is expected to discontinue his involvement with the promotion to focus on other commitments, particularly with AEW.
There have also been discussions about Penta and Fenix appearing at a show at Arena Mexico in the future.
