Orange Cassidy recently expressed his views on the frequent comparisons between AEW and ECW.

Both promotions are recognized for their passionate fanbases, and Cassidy was asked about their similarities during a recent appearance on the “WrestleBinge” podcast.

Cassidy said, “That’s interesting. I see that. I think what ECW has better than anybody was a passionate fan base. I think they had a dedicated, passionate fan base. I think they love their professional wrestling, and I think they wanted to see great professional wrestling. They wanted all types of it. We talk about the hardcore stuff, but really, Dean Malenko and Eddie Guerrero, Rey Mysterio and Chris Benoit and Chris Jericho, all of these guys came through, some of the best wrestlers to ever do it. I used to love ECW opening up with a Triple Threat, it’d be like Super Crazy and Tajiri, they would do incredible things. Nowadays, everybody wrestles like RVD and Jerry Lynn.”

He continued, “I feel that there is an AEW fan is a true, passionate professional wrestling fan, and I love them for it, but I also want there to be room, I want them to make room for the person who just wants to pop in and have a good time. I think it’s important, especially me, I try as best as I can to get some people back into professional wrestling or into professional wrestling, those casual fans as we like to say. I really want AEW to be a place where if you want to analyze every little thing and get down to the details, you can. But I also want you to be like, ‘Oh, AEW’s in town, I just want to go to the show;’ to do that too and have a good time.”

The Rizzler received a huge pop at AEW Full Gear 2024, and Big Justice shared his thoughts on the crowd’s reaction.

The Rizzler made an appearance during the Zero Hour pre-show and got one of the loudest pops of the evening, leading RJ City to ask about the young content creator’s popularity during this week’s episode of Hey! (EW) with the Costco Guys.

Big Justice said, “Because he’s cute. He’s like a teddy bear. He’s just like, you see Rizzler on the screen and you’re like, oh, I got to watch this kid more. It’s not like someone that you go like yourself and you see him and you’re like, they’re interesting, but I don’t know I want to watch it.”

During a recent appearance on the “KQ2” podcast, Darby Allin shared his experience regarding the most painful chops he has received in the ring.

Allin mentioned that Brody King’s chops stand out as the ones that make him feel like his heart might stop. The former TNT Champion also put WWE’s GUNTHER on the list.

Allin said, “People ask me what’s the worst chop I’ve ever taken in wrestling, I would say his is second, but Brody King’s is first by far. I feel like my heart stopped when Brody chops me. I’d say Brody first, Gunther second. I don’t even know who’s third, but those two definitely stand out.”
