Paul Wight (The Big Show) has transitioned into a new chapter of his life following a lengthy career in pro wrestling.
Wight’s departure from WWE after two decades surprised many, but he signed with AEW in February 2021, where he began working as an in-ring talent and on-air commentator.
Earlier this year, Chris Jericho and Wight reunited on the Chris Jericho Cruise, donning their retro attire from their time as a tag team in WWE.
On the cruise, Wight informed fans that he would undergo knee surgery. In March, Wight announced on social media that he would return to the ring soon. It’s already mid-July, and the veteran wrestler is yet to step between the ropes.
Wight recently took to Instagram to announce that he is back in the gym after having his knees and hips replaced. He wrote in the caption,
“Today was a great day! Grateful. ❤️😎💪. Both knees both hips replaced. No pain! Well other than the hard work to get back into shape. That’s not egg shaped. lol.”
