Paul Wight (The Big Show) looks forward to returning to the wrestling ring soon.

After spending over 20 years with WWE, Wight joined AEW in February 2021, where he competed in several matches and also worked as an announcer.

Wight’s most recent match took place on the Chris Jericho Cruise earlier this year, reuniting him with Chris Jericho. Not long ago, the AEW star mentioned on Instagram that he’s back in the gym after undergoing knee and hip replacements.

In July, Wight revealed on an episode of ROH TV that Tony Khan had assigned him to the Ring of Honor Board of Directors.

In a recent appearance on the “Downunder The Ring” podcast, Wight spoke about his potential return.

You can check out some highlights from the podcast below:

On an in-ring return: ”God, I hope so because Tony Khan paid me a sh*t ton of money to get in the ring, and so far, I haven’t done sh*t.”

On the bump onto the car: “I did. Then, right after that, I went and got my knee replaced. Thanks, Will Hobbs. Will Hobbs is amazing. I have nothing but nice things to say about Will. 1, He looks like an absolute monster. 2, He is one of the nicest, humbled human beings. I have met a lot of people in this business. Will Hobbs is [in my] top 3 of the most nicest, humbled human beings I’ve ever met.”
