Keith Lee has not appeared in the ring for over a year and has been absent from AEW TV. However, that doesn’t mean he hasn’t worked hard to get himself in fantastic shape.
Lee was supposed to face Swerve Strickland at AEW Worlds End 2023 but was removed from the card because he wasn’t medically cleared to compete. Instead, Strickland wrestled Dustin Rhodes.
Lee later announced on Twitter that he had been dealing with an injury since September 2022. While the injury had been “mostly well taken care of,” it worsened after ROH Final Battle 2023. He later disclosed that he would require two surgeries.
Since then, there have been no further updates regarding Lee’s condition. The 40-year-old wrestler had previously been out for several months in WWE after contracting COVID-19, as he was advised not to wrestle or train due to heart-related issues.
Earlier today, Lee’s wife, Michin, posted a photo of them together on Twitter. The photo shows Lee looking much healthier and in excellent condition.
Michin tweeted, “Thank you for an incredible 2024! Can’t wait to see what 2025 has in store for us all. Manifesting success !! Be safe tonight, don’t drink and drive. #NYE2025″
