Powerhouse Hobbs has secured himself a title opportunity for next week’s episode of AEW Dynamite (the Maximum Carnage special on January 15th) after winning the Casino Gauntlet match to earn a shot at Jon Moxley’s AEW World Championship.
Starting off the match was “Switchblade” Jay White, followed by “Hangman” Adam Page, Wheeler Yuta, Ricochet, Adam Cole, Daniel Garcia, Powerhouse Hobbs, Roderick Strong, Lance Archer, Kyle O’Reilly, and finally, “The Last Outlaw” Jeff Jarrett.
Hobbs scored the winning pinfall with a spinebuster on O’Reilly and was interviewed by Renee Paquette after the match, saying that Moxley brought him into AEW, but he’s going to make Moxley his b*tch next week and shock the world when he wins the title.
