Private Party Defeat Young Bucks To Win AEW World Tag Team Championships On Dynamite

With their backs up against the wall and their status as a tag team on the line if they were to lose, Private Party successfully defeated The Young Bucks to win the AEW World Tag Team Championships on the special Fright Night Dynamite episode on October 30, 2024.

Isiah Kassidy and Marq Quen have been part of the roster since the very beginning, but spent much of their five year tenure not even in title contention, despite a few periods where they had some pushes. Last month, Jon Moxley attacked Zay and Quen, smashing Zay’s hand with a hammer and berating them for never evolving over all this time.

That seemed to be the kick in the rear that motivated them to start trying harder, and over the past few weeks, they’ve crossed paths with The Young Bucks in various win and loss situations. Last week, after winning a trios match that also included Daniel Garcia on their side and Jack Perry with The Elite, their pitch was to put their team itself on the line for one more shot at the titles.

After a hard-fought match, Private Party got the upset and were able to hit Gin and Juice, with Quen pinning Nicholas Jackson to win the titles.

Later in the show, The Young Bucks packed up their stuff and left, telling Christopher Daniels that they’re going to be working from home from now on since AEW has gotten too chaotic with Jon Moxley and his crew.
