Reason Why Taz Missed 10/2 Episode Of AEW Dynamite Revealed

AEW will miss one of its on-air broadcast personalities due to a surgical procedure.

This angle is believed to mark the beginning of a storyline involving Christian Cage and HOOK.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that Taz was written off television due to an upcoming knee replacement surgery.

The report states, “The story was that he was attacked and injured was a cover story because he’ll be out for a while as he’s getting full knee replacement surgery. His knees have been bad for years.”

Taz had previously hinted that he required the surgery but had been postponing it. Nigel McGuinness filled in for him on commentary alongside Tony Schiavone and Excalibur on Dynamite.
