Megan Bayne concluded her tenure with STARDOM on January 21, prompting speculation regarding her potential signing with AEW.

While an official confirmation of Bayne’s AEW status is currently unavailable, there are indications that AEW may have prevented her from participating in a tour with Marigold.

Bayne has appeared as an unsigned talent on AEW shows such as Dark, Dark: Elevation, and Rampage. Despite this, it is widely believed that she has not formally signed a contract with AEW and has been engaging in talks with Tony Khan’s company following her free agency.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that Marigold anticipated Bayne’s participation in their ongoing tour. After departing from STARDOM, Bayne verbally agreed to join Marigold and wanted to bring Rebecca Scott along.

Rossy Ogawa, the founder of Marigold, approved this arrangement, and plans were in place to incorporate five foreign women into the tour, with visas being prepared for both Bayne and Scott.

However, Bayne notified Marigold of a contractual issue with AEW, which resulted in complications. It is likely that AEW would not prefer to have one of their wrestlers working for Marigold.

Despite these developments, Marigold didn’t receive any responses to their inquiries, leading them to assume that neither Bayne nor Scott would be partaking in the tour.

It remains to be seen whether Bayne will ultimately join AEW, as no final decisions have been reached yet.

Despite not being a part of AEW, Bayne has remained active by appearing for promotions such as GCW and Limitless Wrestling.
