Bryan Danielson has been a prominent figure in AEW since joining the promotion in 2021.
Danielson previously announced his intention to retire from full-time in-ring competition, with a proposed finale scheduled for AEW WrestleDream 2023 at the Tacoma Dome on October 12, aligning with his Washington roots.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that Danielson’s AEW contract will expire before All In 2024 at Wembley Stadium in August.
Dave Meltzer stated, “The Bryan Danielson storyline is expected to have a major turnaround as he closes in on retirement with the idea of regrouping from the losses earlier in the year.”
At AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2024, Danielson will face Shingo Takagi in the Owen Hart Foundation Men’s Tournament Quarterfinals.
