Shane McMahon has reached out to All Elite Wrestling about a potential role with Tony Khan’s company, Conrad Thompson has claimed.
McMahon hasn’t appeared for WWE since WrestleMania 39 where he suffered a torn quadriceps injury in his impromptu match with former ally The Miz.
During a recent edition of his “Grilling JR” podcast, Jim Ross said he wouldn’t rule out Shane in AEW now that Vince McMahon is no longer with WWE.
On the latest edition of the podcast, Thompson shared that he had learned that Shane had inquired about an All-Elite role. He said,
“There was a friend of ours. He went out of his way to text me, ‘Hey, that [Shane joining AEW] is not as crazy as you think. I know for sure that Shane McMahon has reached out to wrestlers on the AEW roster to at least hypothetically discuss the idea.”
Off of TV, Shane held several roles with WWE including as the company’s EVP of Global Media, and as part of the promotion’s creative team.
