During Wednesday night’s episode of the “Busted Open After Dark” podcast, Bully Ray revealed that he texted Shane McMahon after reports surfaced that he met with AEW President Tony Khan earlier this week at a private airport in Arlington, TX.
The two had met to discuss “possibilities moving forward“ and Khan has been “open“ to talking with Shane for a while now.
On the podcast, Ray revealed that Shane McMahon sent him a statement that he’s now able to share. The statement reads as follows,
“Tony and I were connected through a mutual friend and we had a great meeting. We talked about many things, but mostly about our shared love for the business and the rewards and challenges of working with family. I congratulated him on the five year anniversary of AEW and look forward to how he evolves the business moving forward.”
