Darby Allin states that Sting has been trying to dissuade him from his plan to climb Mount Everest.

Allin has consistently expressed his ambition to conquer the notoriously challenging and perilous mountain, aiming to undertake the climb in April 2025 after an injury from a broken foot prevented him from doing so this year.

During a recent interview with Denise Salcedo during the All In: Texas On Sale event, Darby acknowledged Sting’s attempts to talk him out of the Mt. Everest plan.

You can check out some highlights from the interview below:

On Sting trying to talk him out of the climb: “He’s tried but he knows that I really want to do it. He’s like, ‘Alright man, if you’re on a vision quest and you want to do something, go do it.’”

On the importance of the climb to him: “To me, climbing Mount Everest, there’s so many things that go into it. It’s a journey because when you’re climbing a mountain like that, you don’t have the energy to talk like we have right now, like we’re talking back and forth. You can’t waste that energy, so you’re just alone with your thoughts on this mountain for essentially two months. I feel like that’s a very humbling experience and I want to always dig down deep inside and remind myself of what I’m capable of and who I am. I’m very excited for that opportunity and very grateful that AEW is letting me do this in the middle of my career.”

Bandido is getting closer to returning to AEW, as he appeared in a recent vignette during Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite.

A video on Wednesday’s show teased the luchador’s upcoming return to TV. The segment featured Bandido in a Western-inspired setting, where he successfully evaded several attackers while defeating them.

There is no update yet on when the former ROH World Champion, who has been sidelined since June last year, will return.
