Team AEW (Swerve Strickland, Mark Briscoe, Darby Allin, and The Acclaimed) will battle The Elite (The Young Bucks, Hangman Page, Jack Perry, and Kazuchika Okada) in a Blood & Guts match on tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite: Blood & Guts in Nashville, TN.
In a recent appearance on “The Chase and Big Joe Show,” Strickland expressed his belief that The Acclaimed will “step up” tonight.
The AEW World Champion said, “[Fans] can expect a lot of crazy maneuvers. They can expect something wild from Darby Allin. Always. I feel like the underdogs right now are The Acclaimed. I feel they’re looking to step up and prove once again why they are one of the biggest names in All Elite Wrestling and the wrestling industry, period. Expect something big from The Acclaimed.”
During last night’s CMLL Martes de Arena Mexico event, Templario earned the opportunity to challenge for the AEW International Title after winning a one-night tournament. Templario defeated Averno in the finals to earn the title shot.
Templario will now face MJF for the AEW International Title on the August 2nd episode of CMLL Viernes Espectacular.
