At Saturday night’s AEW Worlds End pay-per-view event, Swerve Strickland followed through on a promise he made to Ricochet after Ricochet’s loss to Kazuchika Okada in the semifinals of the AEW Continental Classic.
Strickland made his way to the stage post-match and taunted Ricochet, telling him that he would embarrass him if he didn’t win the tournament. Strickland referred to Ricochet’s past trash talk since joining AEW.
Prince Nana accompanied Strickland, pushing a cart filled with toilet paper. He handed the rolls to the fans in attendance, who then threw them into the ring, covering Ricochet in a sea of toilet paper. Strickland capped off the moment by wishing Ricochet a “happy new year.”
