Fans had high expectations when AEW signed former NWA Women’s World Champion Kamille, who drew interest from WWE in 2024.
Kamille made her AEW debut in July as the bodyguard for TBS Champion Mercedes Mone. Following her debut, she participated in a limited number of matches.
In November, Kamille split from Mone and was removed from AEW television after an attack, leading to speculation that the storyline was abandoned.
According to a report from Fightful, “She’s under contract, but I’ve not heard anything regarding her on-screen future since shortly after she ‘quit’ working for Mercedes. There were some internally that wanted the two to blow off the partnership with a match, but it didn’t end up happening.”
During an interview with CovalentTV in December, Kamille expressed her desire to win a title in AEW, noting that fans had yet to see her true potential.
