Matt Riddle may have made a name for himself in several promotions since his WWE run ended, but fans shouldn’t expect the Original Bro in AEW.
This week, Riddle told Sports Illustrated that he has had a conversation with Tony Khan but isn’t sure that the AEW President likes him.
According to a report from Fightful Select, Khan has not shown any interest in bringing the former WWE Superstar to AEW over the years.
While Riddle has worked with AEW talent, their matches typically take place outside of the U.S. and instead in Mexico as part of AAA.
Riddle was released in September 2023 from WWE, as part of the promotion’s first wave of talent cuts as part of TKO Group Holdings.
The former U.S. Champion had a string of controversies to his name in WWE, including a drunken incident at JFK airport.
