During a recent edition of the “Busted Open Radio” podcast, ECW legend Tommy Dreamer predicted that Bryan Danielson will lose the AEW World Title to Jon Moxley at AEW WrestleDream 2024 this weekend, but will continue to wrestle after that.

You can check out some highlights from the podcast below:

On Danielson’s match this week on AEW Dynamite: “[Last match] Ever on Dynamite? No. Do I think he’s going to retain at WrestleDream? I do not.”

On what Danielson will do after WrestleDream: “I disagree with that. If he loses, he’s done and he’s done for a while, but I do not think he will be … listen, he needs neck surgery, legit. He’s gonna be gone probably for a year, but I don’t think he’s going to announce his retirement, and I don’t think — you know, in wrestling, they’ve always done things like … Sting came back recently, but he didn’t wrestle. But I do think Bryan Danielson — I think he’ll be a part-time in-ring performer after WrestleDream.”

During a recent edition of the “Talk is Jericho” podcast, Nigel McGuinness expressed his willingness to return to the ring but also stated that he would be fine if he never wrestled another match.

Following a thirteen-year hiatus, McGuinness made his in-ring return during the Casino Gauntlet match at AEW All In London 2024.

McGuinness said, There’s always a chance, certainly now that I’ve realized — I don’t want to say it’s not as difficult as I thought it was, because it is obviously very difficult, but I think I didn’t give myself enough credit for being able to do it and I think I listened to too many people. I said it in a promo recently, you hear that nobody knows you used to be a wrestler enough and you start to believe it. One day, the voice telling you is your own. One day, you realize it was your voice all along and nobody else gave a shit. I’m at that stage now where I feel eternally blessed enough to get back in the ring and I love it, I enjoy it. Not just to be back in the ring, but here today before we taped this, I was out there in the ring rolling around with Lee Moriarty and Bryan Keith, they’re always there early so we get in, we do a little bit of stuff, I learn as much from them as they do from me as well. Certainly I’m open to the possibility, but if I don’t wrestle again, that’s okay as well. I’ve had closure. We’ll see what happens.”
