Will Ospreay will defend the AEW International Championship against Ricochet and Konosuke Takeshita in a Triple Threat Match later tonight at AEW WrestleDream 2024.

During a recent edition of his “Busted Open Radio” podcast, ECW legend Tommy Dreamer predicted that Takeshita would win the AEW International Championship at tonight’s event.

You can check out some highlights from the podcast below:

On Konosuke Takeshita winning the title: “I would like to say, and I feels he needs it the most, we have a new champion…Takeshita walks out with the championship.”

On how it would make things a better story: “It’s a better story, we could then head towards Ospreay/Ricochet with some more ‘umph’ to it, and maybe then Ospreay or Ricochet goes towards the world title. If Bryan Danielson leaves, who’s going to fill that void of top guy in the company? I think Will Ospreay has been geared for that.”

During a recent appearance on the “AEW Unrestricted” podcast, Chris Jericho discussed his ROH World Championship match against Mark Briscoe at AEW WrestleDream 2024.

You can check out some highlights from the podcast below:

On The Briscoes: “This is not being a snidely heel, he was under the shadow of his brother Jay. Jay was the older brother and Jay was kind of the point man in that team. As great as Mark is, Jay was kind of more of the singles guy and Jay was a two-time Ring of Honor Champion and if and when I beat Mark Briscoe, I will be a two-time Ring of Honor Champion.”

On why beating Mark Briscoe will be difficult: “I think that’s why it’s going to be extra difficult to beat him because you’re not just fighting one guy, you’re fighting his whole family. It’s not easy anytime you’re in the ring with Mark Briscoe. That’s another reason why I’m really interested in this match, is Jericho and Briscoe have never been one-on-one through all these years of wrestling… we were never in the same company together.”
