Fans have seen the last of ‘Timeless’ Toni Storm in the ring as the popular wrestler is leaving the industry for good, or so she has claimed.
SB Nation revealed that Storm has ‘retired’ from AEW and wrestling, and she apologized to her fans for “being such a failure.” She said,
“I’ve failed at everything. I lost in AEW, I lost in Japan, I lost in Mexico. This is the last you’ll hear from me again. Enjoy Mariah May as your champion. You can all enjoy that.”
Storm claimed that she’s had no communication with Tony Khan over her decision to call it quits and that she is currently in an “undisclosed location.”
The bereft Storm ended with her catchphrase, albeit with a sad twist. She said,
“Chin down. T*ts in. Don’t bother watching for the shoe.”
Storm hasn’t appeared for AEW since All In: London in August, where she lost the AEW Women’s World Championship to Mariah May.
May will have a championship title celebration with Mina Shirakawa at this weekend’s AEW Full Gear pay-per-view event in Newark, New Jersey.
