AEW President Tony Khan believes Adam Copeland (Edge in WWE) is having the best run of his entire career in AEW, and he recently spoke with SportsGrid to discuss Copeland’s role in the company.
As many of you know by now, Copeland was forced to relinquish the TNT title after he suffered a broken leg during his match with Malakai Black at AEW Double or Nothing 2024.
You can check out some highlights from the interview below:
On Adam Copeland: “[Copeland] was the TNT Champion, the face of our other network. He arguably has been on the greatest run of his entire legendary career, which is really saying something because he’s had so many great matches, so many great runs.”
On Copeland’s run in AEW: “What he’s been doing in AEW is some of the best stuff. I’m really proud of that. He was on this amazing run. Unfortunately, he got injured, and he had to vacate the TNT title, but we’ve had so many great free agents come in just in the past year.”
In other AEW news, QT Marshall took to Twitter over the weekend to announce that he placed first in the Classic Physiques Championships True Novice Competition for the 2024 NPC Lenda Murray Classic in Atlanta, Georgia. He wrote,
“A year ago I decided to change my lifestyle. Today, I competed in my first (& most likely only) classic physique event today with a first place victory. 🏅 Life can be really fun if you let it…”
