Tony Khan says he’s incredibly proud of what AEW has accomplished in 2024 so far.

During a recent interview with AMNY, the AEW President commented on some of his favorite AEW moments in 2024. He said,

“This year alone we’ve had so many of our best moments. We had the AEW World Tag Team Championship, when Sting and Darby Allin defeated the Young Bucks to become the World Tag Team Champions. Sting and Darby Allin, they retired undefeated. It was one of the greatest matches ever and I think it was one of the greatest nights of my life to have at Revolution in Greensboro.”

He continued, “I gotta’ say, maybe one of the greatest moments of my life personally was when Bryan Danielson wrestled the great champion Swerve Strickland at Wembley Stadium and Bryan Danielson became the AEW World Champion. That was amazing.”

David Finlay recently spoke with NJPW1982.com to express his desire to face off against Jay White at the Wrestle Dynasty crossover event that will be taking place in January 2025. He said,

“I had the brief idea of wrestling Tony Khan in a Dog Pound Cage Match for all of his money, but I doubt he’s brave enough. I’ve beaten all there is to beat, so I have no issues. The one match I might think of is never going to happen for any number of reasons.”

He added, “Well, if our President Hiroshi Tanahashi was brave enough to lift a certain ban, and if a certain person would have the balls to come over, then I think there is a certain match people would want to see. If Tanahashi could lift a ban for one night so that I could face a certain somebody and banish them to never be seen again, maybe there’s something there. I don’t think Tony Khan wants to see another one of his toys smashed so I don’t see it happening though.”
