Two notable names who have been out of action with injuries in recent months were backstage at Wednesday night’s AEW Dynamite TV tapings in Pittsburgh, PA.
Fightful Select is reporting that Adam Cole was backstage at the TV tapings and is expected to return soon.
Additionally, Powerhouse Hobbs was backstage at the TV tapings and has been traveling with the company in advance of his return.
AEW is expected to use “The Final Countdown” for Bryan Danielson’s theme song at least once more before he calls it a full-time career.
As we’ve reported several times here on eWn, the band Europe charges an incredibly high fee to license their song. Bryan Danielson has previously stated that AEW would’ve had to pay a six figure sum to be able to play the song 20 times a year. He stated, “For several $100,000 you can play ‘Final Countdown’ 20 times a year. That doesn’t work for us.”
And finally, the ROH TV Championship will be on the line during the “Zero Hour” pre-show for the October 12th AEW WrestleDream 2024 pay-per-view event.
