Bobby Lashley defeated former AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland in singles action this past November at AEW Full Gear 2024.
While it seemed that Strickland was engaged in a major feud with Lashley and The Hurt Syndicate, AEW has shifted direction, pairing Swerve Strickland with Ricochet, while Lashley and Shelton Benjamin are pursuing the AEW Tag Team Titles.
On the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer discussed AEW’s rumored plans regarding the Bobby Lashley vs. Swerve Strickland feud.
Meltzer noted that AEW has opted to “table” the feud for now, with plans to revisit it later this year.
The feud is expected to resume in a few months, but it remains to be seen how it will develop.
