We have an update on The Lucha Brothers’ contract status with AEW.
As we previously reported here on eWn, Penta El Zero Miedo’s AEW contract is expected to expire some time next week, making him a free agent.
According to a report from Fightful Select, this is not the case for Rey Fenix, who supposedly has “a lot more time” remaining on his AEW contract. Fenix’s deal is reportedly set to last well into 2025.
The Lucha Bros were expected to leave AEW for WWE this fall. When AEW became aware of this, they added injury time to both contracts.
It is unclear what creative plans AEW has for Fenix, but Death Triangle was slated to win the Trios Titles at All In London 2024.
