Prior to Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite and Collision TV tapings in Buffalo, New York, EJ Nduka defeated Marcus Mathers in a dark match.
Some of you may have noticed that AEW announcer Tony Schiavone disappeared from the commentary booth during the second hour of AEW Dynamite.
Taking to Twitter following the show, Schiavone explained his absence by saying that he simply lost his voice. He wrote,
“Lost my voice. It was giving me problems all weekend. Thanks for asking.”

Also on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, Jay White advanced in the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament by defeating Rey Fenix in a quarterfinal match. He will now go on to face the winner of a match between Jeff Jarrett and a Young Bucks-chosen “wild card” that will be taking place on next week’s show.
