Willow Nightingale secured her spot in the semifinals of the Women’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament during Friday night’s episode of AEW Rampage. She did so by beating Serena Deeb in the quarterfinals.
Following the match, Nightingale shared her thoughts on the victory and directed a message towards her upcoming opponent – Kris Statlander. She said,
“Almost exactly a year ago was the last time I wore this very set of gear. This beautiful, pink set. Why? Because last year, I won the 2023 Owen Hart Foundation Tournament. In 2024, I aim to do exactly the same thing. Tonight, I beat Serena Deeb. It was a battle, yes. I lost a contact. There goes my vision halfway through the match. I scratched my lip. But that is just a part of wrestling. Next match, I have Kris Statlander. Stat, you really broke my heart, and I’ve had to sit with that, and I’ve gotten over that. That’s not true, but I’ve moved on from heartbreak, and I’m at the next step. I’m angry and pissed off. So in the next round, you’ve got a really big beating waiting for you.”
