AEW confirmed on Wednesday’s Dynamite that Kris Statlander is injured, and Toni Storm is being moved up to the #1 ranking in the women’s division.
It was later reported that Statlander was in line for a big push and was dealing with a knee injury.
Statlander commented on the injury via Twitter by writing the following:
“Welp. One knee fixed, one to go. After the first knee injury I came back stronger and better than ever so it’s all over for you all when I come back from this one. I’m sorry to let you all done once again. I’ll be back bigger, more powerful, and more than a woman.”

Statlander returned to AEW in early 2021 after undergoing ACL surgery in the summer of 2020.
We wish her a speedy recovery.
