Afa The Wild Samoan recently underwent two exploratory heart procedures.
In a post that appeared on the WWE Hall of Famer’s Facebook page, it was announced that Afa underwent the procedures to check his valves. The post states,
“Yesterday Afa had two exploratory heart procedures to check his valves. In his own words: “I kicked out before the 1!” He is home and doing very well. Nothing keeps a Wild Samoan down! His follow up appointment is on the 20th to go over next steps. Keep him in your thoughts and prayers as he may need a valve replacement. But he’s up and at it, working hard on the WXW Seminar on January 13th and the first show of the year, February 17th, with proceeds to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association.
Afa was joking with and signing autographs for the hospital staff.”
We send our best wishes to Afa.
Baron Corbin recently appeared on the “NotSam” podcast to discuss his time working in WWE NXT.
For those unaware, Corbin lives in Odessa, Florida which is close to Orlando. This allows him to spend additional time with his family.
Corbin said, “I’m getting to enjoy some time at home and it’s been awesome. Getting to be around my kids and my wife, it’s just been kind of a nice change. Getting to do some cooking and playing with other hobbies and doing some other things, [the NXT schedule] has given me some free time to do that. Whereas, if I’m on the road for 3 or 4 days, I get home, 100% of my attention is put on my kids, my wife, my family.”
He continued, “Now that I’m home essentially seven days a week, because I’m just running up to Orlando on Tuesdays, and then I drive home, it’s given me a lot of free time to dive into some things I’ve been missing and whatnot.”
