As many of you know by now, CM Punk made his return to pro wrestling last Friday night on AEW Rampage. Punk will also be appearing on tonight’s episode of Dynamite.
According to a report from Fightful, the majority of the roster didn’t know that CM Punk had signed with the company until he actually showed up at the United Center in Chicago, IL. Of course, they had all heard about the rumors but Tony Khan never confirmed anything to the roster.
While backstage, Punk was “smiling” and “happy” and was very easy to approach. He wasn’t kept hidden from anyone before his debut and took many backstage photos with the roster. Also, most of the roster was at the curtain or by the monitors watching his segment. Following his debut, he did some promo photos, then went out with some of the roster and friends.
It should be noted that the entire roster wasn’t backstage at Rampage, so many of them will meet CM Punk for the first time at AEW Dynamite tonight.
