The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that according to a particular WWE source, the ongoing “wrestling war” between WWE and AEW will end up like WWE vs. WCW, WWE vs. TNA, or UFC vs. Bellator.
The belief is that AEW will keep signing older WWE names while WWE will scoop AEW’s younger talent (starting with Jade Cargill).
In fact, a “pipeline” has developed and younger AEW wrestlers are already considering leaving when their current deals expire.
According to sources in AEW, certain talents are considering leaving for a better career in WWE.
AEW doesn’t want to become a “feeder league” to WWE or create the notion that they are.
While there will likely be movement between both promotions, WWE is reportedly only interested in “key younger talent.”
