WWE Payback 2023 takes place on Saturday, September 2, 2023, at the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, PA.
As we previously reported here on eWn, WWE advertised on this week’s Main Event and internationally that Becky Lynch vs. Trish Stratus will take place at the show inside a steel cage.
Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Jimmy Uso vs. Jey Uso is expected to take place at a later date “for more build time and likely a bigger show.”
Also, Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns is not booked for the show.
The Judgment Day, Cody Rhodes, Bianca Belair, Asuka, and GUNTHER are all being advertised for Payback 2023.
Based on what WWE has done on television, Seth Rollins is expected to defend his World Heavyweight Title against Shinsuke Nakamura while The Miz will likely wrestle LA Knight.
