As reported over the weekend here on eWn, a chair shot from Shawn Spears (Tye Dillinger in WWE) to Cody Rhodes at the AEW Fyter Fest went wrong.
Cody was hit in the head by the chair after not getting his hands up in time and he was left bleeding on the mat. According to reports, Cody luckily didn’t suffer a concussion but had to get 12 staples in the back of his head.
In an update on the injury, the top of the chair caught Cody accidentally, which was the part that went wrong. There were no plans for Cody to get busted open and it took place the hard way.
