Becky Lynch lost to Trish Stratus at WWE Night of Champions 2023 due to interference from Zoey Stark, but The Man got another shot at The Quintessential Diva after defeating Stark last week on RAW.
On the latest edition of RAW, Adam Pearce tried to make Stratus vs. Stark official despite the Hall of Famer protesting, but Stark once again got involved, neutralizing Lynch with a chair and forcing a disqualification.
In a backstage segment later in the show, Adam Pearce informed Trish that she will wrestle Becky two weeks from now, in her home of Winnipeg, on the August 14th edition of RAW.
Fightful Select is reporting that while the match was originally planned for SummerSlam 2023, those plans changed over the weekend. WWE officials had talked about the match being delayed to WWE Payback at one point but now it’s set for the August 14th edition of RAW. While there were some rumors that Becky Lynch was scheduled to take time off after SummerSlam, that obviously isn’t the case.
