WrestleVotes reported today that the WWE Championship and Universal Championship were unified with the understanding that Roman Reigns would be appearing on both Monday Night RAW and Friday Night SmackDown regularly.
That’s not happening as he signed a deal that called for him to work a reduced schedule. Reigns will make his first title defense since WrestleMania 38 this Friday on SmackDown against Riddle. Reigns hasn’t wrestled since the 5/22 house show in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
WrestleVotes tweeted,
“According to a source, the creative decision to unity the titles was with the understanding it would allow Roman Reigns to appear on BOTH shows more regularly.…maybe that wasn’t the best decision.”
