Sammy Guevara & Eddie Kingston have resolved their issues.
According to a report from Pwinsider, both men spoke to each other backstage prior to Wednesday night’s AEW Dynamite TV tapings in Chicago, IL.
It’s been well documented that Guevara and Kingston had a backstage incident several weeks ago in Minnesota. This stemmed from Guevara not talking to Kingston or gotten his approval for the content of a promo that ended up being cut from a recent episode of Rampage, which made Kingston angry. Guevara called Kingston a “fat piece of sh**” in the edited promo, which Kingston took offense to because he thought it would ruin the match if a “fat piece of sh**” defeated him. Guevara wound up grinning at Kingston as he yelled at him backstage, to which Kingston responded by pie facing Guevara.
Multiple sources have confirmed that the two men spoke before the AEW Dynamite TV tapings and resolved their issues.
Both Kingston and Guevara had a conversation, which ended with them shaking hands and agreeing to move past their issues. Both men also apologized to each other for the incident.
One source who was backstage and saw the face-to-face meeting noted that Kingston accepted full responsibility. That same source believes the two are smart enough to make money off of the matter and would absolutely work together in a professional manner.
