As many of you have seen in recent weeks, WWE has been airing some “kidnapping” scenes on NXT. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the abductions of Joaquin Wilde and Raul Mendoza are leading to the debut of Jorge Bally (El Hijo del Fantasma).
The storyline is based off the Patty Hearst incident in the mid-1970s. For those unaware, Hearst was kidnapped in real-life and became sympathetic to her captors in the Symbionese Libertation Army. She then took part in multiple bank heists. She had been assaulted and threatened with death as she was being held captive and was then brainwashed into participating in the crimes to spare her life.
Bolly debuted at several WWE NXT live events back in February.
