During a recent interview on “Talk is Jericho”, Brodie Lee claimed that Triple H offered to get him into NJPW if he stayed with WWE. Lee claimed Triple H called him personally and asked what it would take to get him to re-sign with WWE. Lee said he wanted to work for New Japan Pro Wrestling and he claims Triple H said they might be able to arrange it.
According to a report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Triple H called Lee one week after he requested his WWE release and while he never specifically said he could help Lee get into NJPW, he did say that he might be able to “let” it happen. In the end, Lee left WWE and signed with AEW instead.
As of now, there have been no discussions between NJPW and WWE about sharing talent.
