According to sources, iMPACT! Wrestling spent nearly $20,000 in order to sort out Rockstar Spud’s visa issues before eventually releasing him from the company.
As previously reported here on eWrestlingNews.com, a “paperwork error” made during the “Dixie Carter era” resulted in Spud’s visa issues and eventual departure from iMPACT! Wrestling. According to reports, the error was compounded by the current administration making it more difficult to get visas and then having them approved.
Once the visa issues were resolved and Rockstar Spud was able to get back into the United States, he asked for his release and it was granted to him in September.
