According to sources, Finn Balor’s injury has changed the plans for the upcoming WWE Hell in a Cell pay-per-view event Triple Threat match featuring Finn Balor, Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho. Balor was originally scheduled to face Owens for the Universal Title at Clash of Champions on September 25th. The match reportedly would have ended in such a way to set up a three-way match at the October pay-per-view event.
As you know by now, Balor’s injury and surgery forced him to relinquish the Universal championship on RAW,. Also announced on RAW, there will be a Fatal Four Way match on next week’s WWE RAW broadcast, featuring Kevin Owens , Big Cass, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns. Rollins and Reigns were planned to be kept out of the title picture for a few months. It isn’t known whether Balor’s injury has changed those plans but it sure appears that way.
